When choosing a brand of neurotoxin injectable, there’s no right or wrong choice. It’s similar to buying a new television. Regardless of the brand, you’ll be able to watch something, but the picture quality and product lifespan can vary.
What worked for your friend may not be effective for you. To determine the best product for you, receive comparable doses of each product in the same area, administered by the same injector, and observe their results and longevity. Our Skin2Soul free consultation can guide you in the right direction.
What's The Difference Between Fillers & Botox?
Botox and other neuromodulators relax muscles, preventing them from contracting and causing wrinkles. On the other hand, fillers add volume to the skin, contouring the face and reducing shadows that make us appear tired. We often use neuromodulators and volumizing fillers together to achieve the best results. We’ll discuss this further during your consultation.
Aging is an inevitable part of life, but at Skin2Soul, we can help you reverse the effects. Our non-surgical procedures are designed to assist you in determining the most suitable treatment plan for your individual needs. Common target areas for these treatments include fine lines, wrinkles, crow’s feet, and frown lines between the eyebrows.

Neuromodulators / Neurotoxins
(Wrinkle Relaxers)

Botox®
(onabotulinumtoxin A)

Allergan, the same company behind Juvederm, Voluma, and Latisse, first obtained FDA approval for medical use in 1989. Since then, it has also received cosmetic FDA approval for treating frown lines (glabellar lines) and crow’s feet (peri-orbital rhytids). The onset of results typically occurs around 7-10 days after injecting the product into the targeted muscles. However, some patients have more sensitive muscles and may require fewer units, while others, like most men, might need higher doses to achieve the desired results.
Dysport®
(abobotulinumtoxin A)
Galderma, the same company behind Restylane, Restylane Silk, Restylane Lyft/Perlane, and Sculptra, received FDA approval for its Botox product in 2009. Each Botox unit is equivalent to 2.5 to 3 units of Dysport in terms of efficacy. However, this doesn’t imply that one is stronger than the other; it simply highlights the difference in units of measurement. One of the most significant distinctions between Dysport and Botox is their onset of results. Dysport takes effect within 3 days, while Botox requires 7 days. Additionally, Dysport has a more diffuse effect, spreading further around the injection site.

Jeuveau®
(prabotulinumtoxinA-xvfs)
Jeuveau, a pioneering product of its kind, is composed of purified botulinum toxin. It was recently approved by the FDA in February 2019. Jeuveau effectively improves the appearance of moderate to severe wrinkles and glabellar “frown” lines. Visible results can be observed within 5-7 days, with full correction achieved around 2 weeks. Jeuveau stands out as the first product exclusively dedicated to aesthetics, while competitive brands like Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin also offer effective results. Ultimately, individual preferences may influence brand choices based on personal experiences.

Xeomin®
(incobotulinumtoxin A)
Xeomin, a product developed by the same company that manufactures Radiesse and Belotero, was approved by the FDA in 2010. Its units of measurement are identical to those of Botox. Therefore, one unit of Xeomin is equivalent in effect to one unit of Botox.

Dermal Fillers
(Volumizers)

Juvéderm®
This dermal filler is used to lift and contour cheeks, smooth lines, and plump lips. It instantly adds volume to the cheek area, correcting age-related volume loss in adults over 21. It also instantly smooths moderate to severe parentheses lines and wrinkles around the nose and mouth. Juvéderm® injectable gel is specifically designed for lip augmentation in adults over 21. The results are natural-looking and long-lasting.

Restylane®
The Restylane® line of hyaluronic acid fillers offers natural-looking results by smoothing away facial wrinkles and folds. It also provides subtle lip enhancement and smooths the lines around the lips. Additionally, it adds lift and volume to the cheeks.

Biostimulators

Radiesse®

Radiesse is a unique, FDA-approved injectable that serves as both a dermal filler and a biostimulator. Unlike common hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers that primarily hydrate and add soft volume, Radiesse is composed of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres.

Sculptra®

Sculptra® Aesthetic, a FDA-approved injectable, gradually replaces lost collagen, the underlying cause of facial aging. Unlike other liquid and gel fillers, Sculptra® Aesthetic works within the deep dermis, rather than on the surface, to revitalize collagen production and restore the skin’s inner structure and volume.
